1. WHAT ABOUT ARCHIVING SYSTEMS, REMOVABLE MEDIA, AND LEGACIES?
   ------------------------------------------------------------

When the jukebox wears out and the media is not compatible with any future technology, what is a boy to do?

There are no logical-data standards that provide for preservation of archival and long-term retention materials when media and managed collections are upgraded as technology changes faster than the lifetime of the materials.

Where are there links to any work in this area.  What kind of agreements made now will preserve investments in ultra-high capacity, long-retention, low-retrieval archive systems.  How is migration and conversion kept as automatic as possible -- no reindexing.


2. CONFIRMATION AND QUALIFICATION OF INTEROPERABILITY

		projects of the Software Diagnostics and Conformance Testing Division at NIST, have test suites for XML, DOM, VRML, and CGM.  Doing tests on CSS1 and CSS2 too.  Have test suites for SQL and PHIGS too.  Are now into technology transfer of conformance testing software.

3. HOW CAN I CONFIRM WEBDAV AND WEBFOLDERS INTEGRATION?

Come up with a test that works and shows a WebDAV service as if it is part of the desktop file system.



4. CROSS-DISCIPLINE CONFERENCES, SYMPOSIA, AND JOURNALS, ETC.

	What is AIIM Inform article refering to when it says there is work on standards that "support collaborative work?"

A. BUGS ON THE SITE

Working around bugs in using IE 5.0.  When the screen is maximized and the menu bar is hidden, opening an Office document in the browser will provide a full-screen that you can't close or navigate out of.  Use the Task Manager to kill just that browser task.
   (There are shortcut keys for reopening the browser on the desktop.)
